FSTL001 - Fastly Authentication Failed

Agent error code #FSTL001 indicates Fastly rejected the API token in the agent's Fastly-Key header (HTTP 401).

This is distinct from an authorization failure (#FSTL002), where the token is valid but cannot reach the service.

Common causes include:

  • The token has a typo or trailing whitespace
  • The token was revoked or has expired
  • The token belongs to a user who no longer has access to the account

Steps to Resolve

  1. In the Fastly control panel, open Account > API tokens and confirm the token is still listed and active
  2. Create a replacement token if in doubt, then re-enter it in the Knocknoc backend configuration and save
  3. Run Validate connection in the Knoc wizard to confirm the new token is accepted
