299006 - Agent Received an Older Configuration Format

Uploading...Agent error code #299006 occurs when an agent is newer than its server, and the server sent a configuration in a format too old for the agent to convert. The agent reports the error but the server is out of date, so upgrading the agent will not fix it.

Steps to Resolve

Upgrade the Server

Upgrade the server to a version at or above the agent's. The knoc applies on the next reconnect.

Or Roll the Agent Back

If you cannot upgrade the server yet, install an agent version closer to the server's. The server version is shown in the admin portal.

Upgrading the server before its agents avoids this error.
