v7.6
Knocknoc 7.6
Enhancements
- New User UI: After logging in, end users are now presented with a UI that can be organized and favorited, with recently-used entries now grouped automatically for easier future use. To ease change-control, existing installs will have this turned off by default, which can be controlled within Settings as an Admin user. This new UI is on by default for all new installs, and can be turned off in the same Admin Settings location for the time being.
- Knoc images (new user ui): Knoc configurations can be grouped by Administrators, with a logo added for differentiation.
- Light mode: A "light mode" version now exists for Users. The default follows the system-preferences, but can be overwritten within the menu. A "light mode" logo should be uploaded by Administrators. Until this is done, a dark background is automatically added to existing images.
- Agent registration: Agents can be registered using a shared API key, instead of a per-agent token. This aids in IaC/CD pipeline deployments.
- Direct user assignment: Users can be directly assigned Knocs, whereas previously Groups were required.
- Knocs/Backends:
- Palo Alto/Panos now provides the "user-ID" value on Passive+ and Active mode settings.
- Simpler Panos API key creation using Knocker.
- Cisco Firepower support added.
- Telemetry added to measure response times of integrations, see logs.
- Palo Alto/Panos now provides the "user-ID" value on Passive+ and Active mode settings.
- Password complexity changes: for Local (non IDP/SAML) user accounts.
- Audit logs: Better detail in audit-logs shown to Admin users. Improved KnocEvent detail in error cases.
Bug fixes
- Click to Revoke: All Knoc's/ACLs can now be revoked.
- Server logs: Server log redactions were overly zealous and obfuscated correct log entries.
- Various: Various small bug fixes, this is worth the upgrade!
